There is no damage and it should fit onto your steering hub. Its very comfy for daily driving, too. This Porsche 911 steering wheel is a genuine OEM part with black leather grip and diameter of 38 cm 14.96 in. This is from my 6 speed 2000 Porsche 911 996 Carrera RS tribute coupe.

This will NOT be compatible with automatics patronage transmission. All original except that I added some red tape at the 12:00 position since do auto cross and needed a different wheel, so this one is for sale. It is black and in good condition. My original one is for sale here.

It is compatible with the 2000 Porsche 996 model's and comes a steering wheel only. The airbag is not included. I have driven Lacuna Secs with it and done auto cross works just fine. This is a nice wheel with smooth vintage feel, large bumps to grip and light wear.
